I studied Biology at UMD After a few years with the National Park Service and then the Food and Drug Administration in DC, I went back to school for a Masters in Botany at the Univ. of Georgia. Worked in natural resources protection and planning at Maryland Departmemt of Natural Resources (Natural Heritage Program and Resource Planning) until 2002.
I settled in Bowie in 1988 to split the distance between work in Annapolis and friends and family in Montgomery County, and have stayed put. I'm semi-retired now, working part time in a local doctor's office.
