I'm very sad to hear this. Marta was in my homeroom and always kind and upbeat. I can remember her smile like it was all last week.

I was also very sad to hear of Marta's passing. She & I reconnected a few years ago, playing Words with Friends. She wasn't going to be coming to our Reunion because she hoped to go to the wedding of Sharon Mackey's daughter (I think?) I hope she was able to do that. May she rest in peace.

I'm still finding it hard to believe! We had just caught up, since she moved up north to be with her sister Gina. Sharon and I had lunch with Marta, during her stop going up North. I was surprised she had moved back to Arizona. She commented that it was sunny all the time and plenty a room for company. Due to Covid she didn't get to go to Sharon's daughter's wedding, but she did get to see the pictures that Sharon sent. She commented how nice the pictures were. lShe was very special, always smiling, always found the good in people.

Shocked when Marta's sister Gina informed me that Marta had passed away.  She suffered from acute asthma an COPD.  Marta and I were very close friends at North Bethesda.  We continued to remain in touch through the years.  She and I  played Words With Friends for the past couple years. She was always so caring and loved life!💝
